What We Believe
These are the truths that shape who we are, how we live, and how we follow Jesus.
Scripture
We believe the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is the inspired Word of God. Scripture is our authoritative and trustworthy guide for what we believe and how we live as followers of Jesus. We submit ourselves to its authority while welcoming honest questions and thoughtful engagement with what it teaches.
God
We believe in one God who eternally exists as three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each person is fully God, equal in power, and equal in glory. God is the Creator and sustainer of all things and is sovereign over His creation.
The Father
We believe the Father is fully God, the Creator and sustainer of all things. He is holy, loving, and faithful, and He sent His Son into the world to bring us back to Himself. He hears the prayers of His people and, in His wisdom and faithfulness, answers according to His will. Through Christ, He rescues us from sin and death and gives eternal life to those who come to Him in faith.
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is true God and true Man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. Further, He arose bodily from the dead and ascended into heaven, where at the right hand of the Majesty on High, He now is our High Priest and Advocate, and in the person of the Holy Spirit, He indwells the believer.
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God and a distinct person of the Trinity. He dwells within those who belong to Christ, bringing new life, shaping us to become more like Jesus, and guiding and empowering us to live faithfully. He gives spiritual gifts to believers for the building up of the church and the advancement of God’s kingdom. We seek to remain yielded to His leading, recognizing that His work and every spiritual gift must always align with Scripture. Above all, we pursue the Spirit’s greatest fruit—love.
Humanity
We believe every person is created in the image of God and therefore possesses inherent dignity and worth. We were created to know God, reflect His character, and live in relationship with Him. Yet through sin, humanity has rebelled against God and fallen from that purpose, bringing brokenness, suffering, and death into the world. Apart from God’s grace, we cannot overcome our sin or restore ourselves to Him. We are therefore in need of the redemption and new life found in Jesus Christ.
Salvation
We believe salvation is a gift of God’s grace, made possible through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Though we cannot save ourselves, God offers forgiveness and reconciliation to all who turn from sin and place their faith in Christ. Through faith in Him, we are made new, restored to relationship with God, and given the hope of eternal life. This salvation is not merely a future promise, but a new life with Christ that begins now and will be completed in the resurrection.
The Church
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, made up of all who have placed their faith in Him. Jesus Christ is its head, and Scripture is its foundation and authority. The Church exists to glorify God, proclaim the gospel, make disciples, and faithfully live out the teachings of Jesus in community with one another. The Holy Spirit empowers the Church and gives gifts to believers for the building up of the body and the work God has called it to do. Every believer has a place and purpose within the Church.
Christ’s Return
We believe Jesus Christ will return personally, visibly, and in glory to bring God’s purposes to completion. At His return, the dead will be raised, all people will face the judgment of God, and Christ will fully establish His kingdom. Those who belong to Him will share in eternal life and the restoration of all things, while evil, sin, and death will finally be defeated. We therefore live with hope and expectation, knowing that our future rests in the faithfulness of God.
